"My art recaptures
images and moments that stirred me emotionally. My inspirations come
from my passion for animals, especially horses, and scenes or
experiences during my travels. Although I paint in various mediums,
most of my recent works have been in watercolor.
I began drawing horses as
soon as I could hold a pencil. My artistic abilities were widely
recognized throughout high school, but in college I had to choose
between majoring in art or music and chose music. After earning an
M.A. degree from Claremont Graduate University, I taught in
California's public schools for eight years. Then, chasing a path of
increasing income led me through several careers including Certified
Financial Planner and Equity Compensation Consultant. With wage
earning now in the background I am again free to pursue my love for
painting.
As a member of Burlingame
Art Society and ARTshare of San Mateo County, I look forward to
participation in open studios, art festivals, and exhibits. "
